Printed buff superhero costume workout outfits

at 5:03 pm Sun, Oct 20, 2013 Thanks for the write up Cory Doctorow of BoingBoing.net

ShapeShifterZ makes printed workout gear that makes you look like a totally buff superhero (or stone gargoyle, or voodoo doll, or whatever). It's machine-washable, wicking, breathable, and marketed as suitable for workout gear, Burning Man, or what-have-you. They come as two-piece or one-piece suits; apparently the one-piece suits are better for hiding rolls and the like but you can wear the leggings as yoga-pants.

Derrick Johnson - ALL TIME AMERICAN RECORD HOLDER!

Congratulations Derrick Johnson! He just broke an American Record with his 123kg snatch at the #WLChampionships2014. Not only is it the new#american record but it also the all time record. The records were reset in 1999 after new drug testing protocols were enacted so know he
can claim to have the greatest #snatch in the 100 year history of this sport in his weight class in the #UnitedStates And that's pretty darned awesome! Go Derrick!#PhoenixRises
2014 National Champion!!!

May the 4th be with you!

Derrick Johnson, an American Record Holder in weightlifting, led the way this 4th of July in the Santa Monica, Main Street Parade. The theme was "May the 4th Be With You". Kids jumping up and down, waving flags as Derrick pulled gigantic a 1961 Unimog donned with balloons, stars and happy dancing ShapeShifterZ.

Derrick is a serious dude, so it was quite the scene. Thanks Derrick. The kids loved it. We did too.

Winner of Miller Lite's "On-the-Spot" pitch contest

Winner of Miller Lite's "On-the-Spot" pitch contest!

So...I rep'd ShapeShifterZ tonight at Miller Lite's #tapTheFuture event. Ended up getting picked to spontaneously pitch and won the 2 minute "On-the-Spot" pitch contest!

Tip: Plastic cards get pulled out of hats with tons of paper cards.

Tip: Wear a company costume under dress jacket to every event. Reveal it on stage.

Tip: Don't loose it on stage in front of Daymond John and his co-judges....Check, check, check. I did just fine. I won!

Derrick Johnson in ShapeShifterZ weightlifting singlet

Derrick Johnson had a weekend to remember when he set a new American record for the snatch. Johnson, who competes in the 136-pound division, set the new mark of 268 pounds at the 2014 Hassle Free Open & Invitational in Foster City, CA, on March 9.

Johnson who also goes by the moniker "The King of American Weightlifting" describes himself as follows on his YouTube channel: "Derrick Johnson is a national champion, international team member, and an international coach for USA Weightlifting. He has produced national champions, team titles, world team members, and an Olympian."

This YouTube super slow motion takes you through Johnson's move in pretty intricate detail:
